Symbol's Spectrum24® Ethernet Access Point took top honors in the category of frequency hopping access points, scoring five points out of five for both interoperability and ease of management. It also gained category top marks in performance, form factor and features. The comparison review placed Symbol ahead of Aironet Wireless Communications, Proxim and BreezeCOM. The article praised the Symbol Spectrum24 Ethernet Access Point for its feature set and excellent performance, including its protocol filtering capabilities and security options, as well as its ability to act as a wireless repeater or bridge.

In the important category of interoperability, it was easier to connect other vendors' products to Symbol's access point than any other frequency hopping access point.
