Symbol Powers Wi-Fi Wireless "Hot Spots" At 2002 Sundance Film Festival For Handheld Digital Solution

Symbol Technologies, Inc., today announced that its and were part of a collaborative effort at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival to deliver on-site Film Festival event information to press, visiting
film industry executives, and other attendees, who were provided wireless enabled HP Jornada 568 PDAs1 running the FluxShow Platform.
Attendees of the 2002 Sundance Film Festival will, for the first time, view film schedules, festival news, film previews, and other event information, in full color from a lightweight portable
wireless enabled PDA. Symbol set up five Wi-Fi wireless "hot-spots" at the Park City venue so that users receive daily updates to their wireless enabled HP Jornada PDA, pre-loaded with Film
Festival content running on the FluxNetwork client-server software solution. The combined PDA, software, and wireless solution provided users a rich media experience with full video, audio, text,
animation and graphic images. This mobile digital solution, which utilizes Microsoft's Windows Media™ technology, augments the 300+ page bound 2002 Sundance Film Festival catalogue that is
traditionally distributed at the festival.

FluxNetwork () initiated an agreement with the Sundance Institute () to team with HP and Symbol to develop the wireless mobile solution for the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. While HP () provided 500
HP Jornada 568 PDAs, FluxNetwork deployed its FluxShow Platform on the PDAs to display and manage film festival information. Symbol provided 500 Wireless Networker CompactFlash wireless LAN
adapters () to wirelessly enable the HP Jornada PDA to transmit and receive daily updated festival information
