CVS Selects Symbol Next-Generation Wireless, Mobile Computing Solutions
Retail Pharmacy to Standardize on Symbol's High Rate Wireless Backbone for Current and Future Applications at All 4,100 Stores

Symbol Technologies, Inc. announced today that it is providing long-time wireless customer CVS Corporation, the largest retail provider of prescriptions in the nation, with its wireless local area
network (LAN) infrastructure and hand held computers to enhance in-store productivity.
CVS will standardize on the backbone throughout its 4,100 stores nationally. The high-speed bandwidth will be delivered to new Symbol hand held computers to support a variety of in-store
applications, including direct store delivery, price management, inventory control, and receiving. Benefits include faster transfer rates, increased productivity and performance, overall reduced
costs and maximized customer service.
