Symbol MC9060 Rugged Mobile Computers Assist Golden State Overnight with Saving Time, Cutting Costs and Boosting Revenue

(NYSE:SBL), The Enterprise Mobility Company™, today announced that Golden State Overnight (GSO), California's priority overnight delivery service, has deployed more than 800 Symbol mobile computers to manage and track the pickup and delivery of the 8 million packages it processes each year. GSO is using the Symbol MC9060 rugged mobile computer to support its core business operations in an effort to increase revenue, and improve operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction through more efficient delivery processes.

Creative Concepts Software, Inc., a Symbol premier business partner, provides Golden State Overnight with comprehensive staging, configuration, and support services on the MC9060 mobile computers which are used throughout its 24 distribution centers and 1000 trucks, helping to guarantee priority overnight delivery throughout California as well as to major metropolitan areas in Nevada and Arizona. Since deploying the Symbol mobile computers, GSO has reduced the time needed to load packages into trucks each morning by more than 75 percent - from over 45 minutes to just 10 minutes. These operational improvements have enabled GSO to increase revenue by delivering more packages on time each day.
