Symbol Technologies Honors Winners of Second Annual Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards

Partners Demonstrate ROI, Customer Service and Management Solutions

Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:SBL), the Enterprise Mobility Company™, today announced the winners of the second annual Global Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards, presented at the Company's Global Partner Conference in Grapevine, Texas. Four Symbol PartnerSelect partners are being recognized for their outstanding achievements in providing Symbol-based end-to-end enterprise mobility systems that have helped customers accelerate growth, productivity and operational efficiencies.

The winners this year are: DTSolutions, S.A., from Guatemala; O'Neil Software, Inc. from the United States; M-Netics Holdings Ltd. from the United Kingdom; and Marvel Business Systems Corp. from Taiwan.

• DTSolutions was recognized for its work with Proval/Transval, a valuables and money transportation company. DTSolutions provided Symbol products to reduce the cost and time of transactions at stops for Proval/Transval's truck fleet; and secure against information leaks and errors at the point of capture.
• O'Neil Software's work with Underground Vaults & Storage, a large commercial records management service, was honored for deploying mobility to record and monitor service center requests. With a variety of Symbol handheld devices, operators increased functionality and efficiency to respond to customer requests, and accurately capture and record revenue generating activity.
• M-Netics improved in-store operations and customer service for New Look, the third largest women's fashion retailer in the United Kingdom, by automating its traditional paper-based operations. Symbol's show floor system can be 'switched on' and made accessible to decrease delays, inaccuracies and frustrations associated with price checks and managing inventory.
• Marvel Business Systems enhanced operational efficiencies for Giordano, a well-known fashion retailer in the Asia Pacific region, with Symbol products that increase productivity and enable employees to conduct real-time data exchange over the company's wireless network.

A select panel of judges, including a representative from Microsoft and editors from leading industry publications such as Business Solutions, VARBusiness and Vertical Systems Reseller, chose the four winners. The selection process for the award winners was based on the innovative use of solutions presented by Symbol's partners and how it enabled customers to efficiently solve business challenges.
