Symbol provides a broad range of benefits to our associates in each of the countries in the EMEA region. Some benefits are common to all countries; others will vary according to local laws and practices. These benefits reflect our intent to attract and retain the best talent available in the region.

Although Symbol Technologies, Inc. reserves the right to amend, revise, modify or terminate a benefit at any time for any reason, the major benefits offered in this region include:

Medical Plan - In many territories, medical benefits are provided by the state. However, where this is not the case, we provide insurance for our associates and their dependants.

Life Assurance and Accident Cover - Life assurance cover is provided in accordance with local market practice.

Business Travel Assurance - While traveling on authorized company business, we provide comprehensive cover for emergency medical expenses, and insurance against loss, theft or damage to personal effects.

Illness and Disability - We provide generous levels of cover for continued income during ill health or disability.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan - After completing three months of service, associates can elect to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Associates who enroll during one of the bi-annual plan periods can defer from 2 to 10 percent of base pay to purchase common stock. When you join the plan, you make an investment in your future by investing in Symbol. As an owner of Symbol common stock, you have the potential for financial gain through any dividends and growth in the value of the stock that you help to create. In most countries this is a taxable benefit.

Recognition Awards - We award associates with financial bonuses for achievements that have a direct impact on the business.

Training and Education - Symbol Learning Portal, an online educational facility, provides associates with learning opportunities, including technical, computer courses and professional development training.

Referral Programme - You may receive a bonus award for referring qualified candidates who are hired by Symbol.

Service Awards - In recognition of length of service with the company, we award associates for every five years of service with a gift, which may be chosen from a selection of quality items.
