(NYSE: SBL) and business partner Vytek Public Safety Solutions, Inc., today announced that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) will implement ProfilerPTtm, Vytek's integrate mobile solutions and Symbol's PDT 8100 rugged handheld computer to enable police officers in vehicles or on foot to collect critical law enforcement data and communicate with police stations and centralized databases at they move throughout the department's citywide network.
